Guten Tag!

Welcome to Butterken Bakery.

We're Anita and Hendrik, and we're passionate about sharing the rich tradition of German bread culture here on the Mornington Peninsula.

At Butterken Bakery, we handcraft artisan sourdough breads, pretzels, pastries and cakes using time-honoured techniques, local ingredients, and a modern approach to health, sustainability and flavour.

By blending German baking traditions with innovation, we've created a bakery where quality comes first and good food brings people together.

Visit our German bakery in Mount Eliza and discover why locals call us one of the best bakeries on the Mornington Peninsula.
